A Requiem to Silence

In that silent night

He lay alone, awake

Heart longing for her light

While his raw throat aches

Burning swollowed unshed tears

Flaming raspy unvoiced cries

For the love he lost

Yet never truly had

Because of those unspoken words

Inprisoned in his soul

Aside his love for her

Shackled behind his dry, shy, eyes.
